Born
and raised in Houston, Texas, Alan grew up working in his
families’ restaurant business that they operated for
more than 50 years. “I learned early in life that
our customers were the key to our success.” This
still carries forward today. Whether listing a home or helping
a first time buyer locate their dream house, Alan continues
to make sure that his “customers” are informed
and comfortable throughout the entire process.
Having attended college in Austin, Texas, Alan returned to
Houston where he married his wife Tanis, and started his own
small business. Together Alan and Tanis started investing
in residential real estate and Alan soon discovered his true
passion. After a decade as a successful small business owner
and real estate investor, Alan and Tanis decided to move their
family to Austin where Alan quickly achieved top sales status
for a major Austin area condominium conversion project.
Alan,
his wife Tanis and their daughter live in The Lakeway area.
When not at the office or working with clients, Alan can be
found running, playing golf, fishing or simply enjoying time
with his family and the outdoors.

We met many realtors in the last 10 years of buying and selling houses. I am 100% honest when I tell you we have Never met a realtor or couple who worked so hard and did so much to get things done right.
Before we found you two we had a friend of a friend list our house and were so frustrated at her lack of marketing and general concern for our listing that we let her go after 30 days. The next day when we met Alan at his office we were on our way out of town to our current home but he went right over to the house we wanted to sell with us to make a checklist of things that need to happen to have an attractive listing. We knew instantly that he was not like any realtor we've met when he made the checklist with us, knew several people for the various things that needed attention and handled it all from contacting the handymen, meeting them at the house to oversee the work and paying them first and letting us reimburse him. It saved us 3 hours of driving every time and he never asked for anything in return or acted like he was doing more than required.
I knew for certain he had many listings to tend do but we felt like we had the only one. The house was vacant and we wanted to be sure the A/C was on and our lawn was cared for. Alan went to our house every other day to check the home and lawn. He hired a lawn care crew and checked their work, paid them and forwarded the paid invoice.
We had many questions along the way and texted, emailed or called with them. We never waited more than 10 minutes for a response, whether it was from Alan or Tanis, no matter what they had going on. When we had a solid offer and the buyer's lender couldn't get the loan completed, already a week after scheduled closing date, Alan got the paperwork transferred to his own lender and the deal was completed in 2 days.
Instead of driving the 90 minutes to Lakeway from our current home to do the closing, Alan suggested we have the closing at a title office close to our home and He would drive! He even brought us a very thoughtful, tasteful gift in appreciation and thanked us on behalf of he and Tanis. It behooves anyone looking to buy or sell real estate to contact Alan and Tanis Adams.
